Bishop Diego Athletics

Welcome to Cardinal Athletics!

As the premiere faith-based, CAIS/WCEA/WASC accredited high school serving Santa Barbara and the surrounding areas, we are committed to providing a complete educational experience. Through Bishop's three Core Values of Respect, Perseverance, and Compassion, we develop the entire individual, not simply the athlete. It is our goal to ensure that these Core Values create a solid foundation for Bishop Diego graduates to build upon.

Approximately 80% of our student body participate in at least one sport during their time at Bishop, while approximately 50% participate in more than one sport. We strongly encourage multi-sport participation and are supportive of a wide range of experience and skill level. Unless a sport is severely impacted, which rarely happens, we have a no cut policy, so the question will never be, “Can I play this sport?” Instead, it will be “At what level will I play this sport?”

All of our teams, with the exception of football, compete in the Tri County Athletic Association, including similar sized schools from Los Olivos to Simi Valley. Football competes in the competitive Marmonte League.
